Bob Batick was a 3-sport athlete during high school.
He played baseball for 3 years and football and ice hockey for all 4 years. He was the ice hockey captain as a junior and senior and his team finished with a 14 – 7 record in Division I during Bob’s senior year. As a junior, Bob was awarded the team MVP and attained All-State honors as well. Bob was a standout as a football player. He was an All-Conference First Team Offensive Tackle in grades 10 and 11 and was a First Team All-Conference Defensive End as a senior. As a junior he was an Honorable Mention All-State Player and then as a senior was a First Team All-State Player as a Defensive End. His team finished with a 7 and 3 record during his senior year. The New Haven Football Foundation honored him as a Scholar-Athlete. This Steve Lenzi Award winner went on to play football for 4 years at Yale University. The North Branford High School Athletic Hall of Fame is proud and pleased to induct Bob Batick on July 10, 2011.
